My Auto Care, LLC, doing business as DVIPlus (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use the DVIPlus platform and website (the “Service”).
1. Information We Collect
From Shop Users (your employees)
When you create accounts for shop owners, managers, service advisers, technicians, or other roles, we collect:
- Name
- Email address
- Role within the shop
- Usage analytics (e.g., login activity, feature usage)
From Vehicle Owners (collected by the Shop)
The Shop provides us with limited Vehicle Owner data so we can deliver inspection videos:
- Phone number (encrypted at rest)
- First name (optional)
- Vehicle information (year, make, model)
- Repair order details
AI Chat Transcripts
When a Vehicle Owner chats with the AI agent, we retain the conversation transcript, capped at 10 messages per session. We do not send any personally identifiable information (PII) in prompts to our AI provider.
Automatically Collected Information
When you interact with the Service, we may collect:
- IP address
- Browser/device type and operating system
- Cookies (minimal, used only for authentication and session management)
2. How We Use Information
- To deliver inspection videos to Vehicle Owners via SMS and web portal.
- To enable the AI chat agent and provide helpful, contextual answers.
- To bill Shops and manage subscriptions (via Stripe).
- To analyze Service usage and improve the platform (using anonymized data).
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. Data Sharing
We share information only with the service providers necessary to operate the Service, and only under strict data processing terms:

We do not sell, rent, or lease personal data to any third party for their marketing purposes.
4. Data Retention
- Active Account Data: Stored as long as the Shop subscription remains active.
- Post-Cancellation: 90 days after cancellation, all Shop Data is permanently deleted.
- AI Chat Transcripts: Retained for 12 months, then automatically deleted.
- Anonymized Analytics: May be kept indefinitely.
5. Vehicle Owner Rights
Vehicle Owners whose information is processed through the Service are not direct users of DVIPlus. If a Vehicle Owner wishes to access, correct, or delete their data, they should contact the auto repair shop that collected their information. We will assist the Shop in fulfilling such requests promptly.
6. CCPA Compliance
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect about you, to access it, to request deletion, and to opt out of any “sale.” We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), please contact the Shop that provided your data, or email us directly at [email protected].
7. Children’s Privacy
The Service is intended for business use by auto repair shops. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If we learn we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it immediately.
8. International Transfers
All data processing occurs in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US under US law.
9. SMS-Specific Privacy Disclosure
- Phone Number Collection: Phone numbers are collected by the auto repair shop at the time of service intake.
- Usage: Phone numbers are used solely to send a one-time transactional SMS containing a link to the inspection video.
- No Sharing/Selling: Phone numbers are not shared with third parties for marketing purposes and are never sold.
- Opt-Out: Vehicle Owners may reply STOP to any message to opt out. The opt-out is immediate.
- Message Frequency: Typically one (1) message per service visit.
- Message and data rates may apply. Carrier participation and message delivery may vary.
10. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. Phone numbers are encrypted at rest. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify Shops of material changes by email or through the platform. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
